In late April, amid the COVID-19 crisis, the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership (CVEP) received an extensive study conducted by the LAEDC’s Economic Institute that provided an analysis of the employment impact of COVID-19 on the MSA’s (Metropolitan Statistical Areas) that make up Southern California. CVEP recognized the quality of the study, but also understood that the unique economy of the Coachella Valley did not really fit the criteria used.
Using this study as a guide, CVEP conducted their own study. After a week of research, forming the narrative, and editing by the CVEP team, it was over to Hunter|Johnsen to design. CVEP is poised to lead in the effort to overcome the economic impact of COVID-19, and to drive innovation and enterprise in Greater Palm Springs.
