Over the years, the Hunter|Johnsen team has created numerous logos and corporate identities. From local restaurant owners, regional nonprofit organizations, national tourism/attraction companies, to worldwide automobile corporations, we follow a similar discovery process each time. We work closely with our clients to ensure the brand we help them to create matches their vision, and brings their brand to life.

The design process for creating a new logo is a structured yet creative journey that involves both strategic thinking and artistic expression. It begins with an in-depth discovery phase, where we gather information about the client’s business, target audience, brand values, and industry. This stage often involves meetings, questionnaires, and competitor analysis to ensure the final logo aligns with the client’s vision and market positioning. A strong foundation of research and inspiration is essential to crafting a design that is not only visually appealing but also meaningful and memorable.

Once the research phase is complete, the team moves into concept development, sketching initial ideas and experimenting with typography, iconography and eventually color schemes. At Hunter Johnsen, no stock images or clip art is involved. Every design we present to our clients is a customized, one-of-a-kind creation. Drafts are then created, refining the most promising concepts into polished logo variations, ensuring the logo works across different mediums, from digital to print to trade show displays and outdoor billboards. After presenting the initial designs to the client, feedback is gathered, and revisions are made to fine-tune the final selection. The last stage includes delivering the logo in multiple formats. A successful logo design process results in a timeless, versatile, and impactful visual identity that effectively represents the client’s brand.

The Hunter Johnsen team has been designing logos for more than 30 years, and has worked closely with such prestigious national and international clients as American Honda Motor – Acura division, Hyundai USA, Alaska Denali Travel, Brewster Travel Canada, and Jackson & Perkins.
