When our friends at Mekiko Cantina in Kapolei, Hawaii on the island of Oahu reached out to us at Hunter Johnsen, we were more than excited to provide them with design assistance. Open since the fall of 2021, Mekiko Cantina brings mouthwatering fresh Mexican flavors to the Hawaiian islands. Their inspiration comes from four generations of Delgado family recipes. Fajardo’s son, Florencio, and his wife, Maria, brought “abuelita’s” recipes to their first restaurant in downtown Palm Springs, California in 1958.
Hunter Johnsen has been assisting the Mekiko Cantina team with everything from stationery, gift certificates, and drink recipe cards to sandwich board signs and in-flight publication print advertising.
